Jim Bob was a 16.3hh Cob x Hanoverian Piebald Homozygous 2000 Stallion.
With Jim Bob, you were guaranteed a coloured foal with the vast majority (mare size dependent) making well over 16hh or more. He was an unknown Pedigree with 10 inches of bone and manners to burn.
His stock was predominantly event, show and dressage and his progeny all have strong bone and are solidly built yet they are great sports horses, very quick learners and are willing to work with fantastic, friendly and safe personalities.
Jim Bob left this world for greener pastures on Tuesday 28th January 2020. Jim Bob was humanely euthanized on veterinary advice after suffering from Lymphodema in both offside legs at the age of 19, two months short of his 20th Birthday.
He was always friendly, genuine and a pleasure to be around. He was a family member to Heather. Life in the breeding shed was long and prosperous for Jim Bob and his last breeding season was 2019. Heather is proud to say he was a phenomenal stud, the perfect gentleman and his offspring were always great. Jim Bob’s even temperament was always passed along to his offspring, and he will be remembered for his easy-going demeanor. We all loved him and it was a difficult decision to say goodbye but, we had no choice — it was time.
Words cannot express my grief, Jim Bob was my star, he really was. He was my partner for so long, and he did so much more than I could have ever imagined. Although I am sad, I am truly gratified to watch the legacy he left through his offspring and stud duties will be taken over by his son - Sambourne Kratos. - Heather Large
